Talty Baptist Church was established in 1989 as a mission of the First Baptist Church of Forney.  The initial meeting was held on April 10th, 1989 with over forty in attendance.  From that point, the goal of the church has been to make an impact on its community and be a cross section of the local population. Starting with just a mobile home, the church has grown in facilities to three buildings: a Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall, and Educational building.

Since its establishment, Talty Baptist has been under the guidance of five pastors.  Bro. Eddie Neese, Bro. Clint Calvert, Bro. Jeff Roman, and Bro. Walter Evans have each played instrumental parts in the history and godly direction of Talty Baptist.  Bro. Lyle Wallace is the current Pastor, beginning his ministry in April of 2014.

With so much of the history of Talty Baptist still to be written, it is exciting to see what God has done and what He is currently doing in this ministry.
